BIRCH RUN, Mich. (AP) - A 49-year-old man was killed in a crash in Saginaw County while fleeing state police.

MLive.com and WNEM-TV report that state police say an autopsy is planned Monday on the body of William Jennings of Clio.

State police say troopers tried to pull Jennings over Saturday afternoon in Genesee County after receiving a 911 call about a driver having a gun in his vehicle.

Troopers say the driver repeatedly showed a handgun during the pursuit. As police vehicles attempted to block the vehicle near Birch Run, the driver drove off Interstate 75 into a ditch. He died at the scene.
