BOISE, Idaho (AP) - State officials say Idaho’s unemployment rate in January remained unchanged from the previous month at 3.9 percent.

The Idaho Department of Labor says in a news release Monday that total employment in the state increased by 1,900 to 774,800.

The number of unemployed dropped by 300 to 31,400.

The agency says the state’s labor force rate remained the same as December at 64.1 percent. That’s the percentage of people 16 and older with jobs or looking for work.
