PHOENIX (AP) - A 24-year-old man accused of killing his 62-year-old father in Phoenix has been arrested in Scottsdale.

Police arrested Wynton Holton Elrod after a resident reported a man standing in the alley behind the resident’s home late Saturday night.

Elrod was wanted on a second-degree murder warrant in the February homicide of Craig Elrod.

Phoenix police said another son returned home after being out of state for over a week and found his father’s body in a bathroom with trauma to his upper body.

According to Phoenix police, Wynton Elrod previously had been evicted from the home for drug abuse but was there when his brother returned.

Wynton Elrod remains in jail. He didn’t have an attorney when he made an initial court appearance.
