BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a Buffalo teenager has died and another is hospitalized after they were hit by gunfire on a city street over the weekend.

Officers say the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday on LaSalle Avenue on Buffalo’s east side, where a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were struck by shots fired from a vehicle.

The girl later died at the Erie County Medical Center. The boy was treated and released.

A separate shooting that occurred later Saturday night on Glendale Place wounded a 20-year-old Buffalo man and a 17-year-old girl from suburban Cheektowaga. The man was treated and released. The girl is listed in serious conditions.

No arrests have been reported in either shooting.
