COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina coach Will Muschamp says linebacker Skai Moore will be limited in spring practice because of a neck strain.

The Gamecocks will open spring workouts on Tuesday.

Moore has been South Carolina’s leading tackler the past three years. He considered giving up his senior season for the NFL draft until deciding to finish his college career at South Carolina.

Muschamp said Moore’s neck injury was not serious and would not keep him from the field in the fall.

Muschamp said Moore’s injury would be reevaluated in a couple of weeks. However, Muschamp said he’s seen enough of Moore on film to know how talented a player he is and could decide not to subject the 6-foot-2 linebacker to any contact in spring practices.
