CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - State wildlife officials say the winner of the 2015 Wyoming Super Tag mountain goat raffle has shot the second-largest mountain goat ever killed in the state.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1P9mUut ) that Will Russell, of Rock Springs, recently shot the mountain goat, which scored 50 2/8 inches. The goat has been certified by the Boone and Crockett Club.

Russell won last year’s Super Tag for the mountain goat, which can be found in the Beartooth Mountains north of Cody and the Palisades area south of Jackson.

The Super Tag raffles are held each year and also include licenses for bighorn sheep, wild bison, black bears, mountain lions and other animals.

Winners of the 2016 Super Tag will be notified by mid-July.
