FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - One man is dead and another is hospitalized following a shooting in Fayetteville.

Police Lt. David McLaurin said in a statement that the shooting followed an argument shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday.

McLaurin says 66-year-old Henry Mert Porter died after he was shot. His son, 40-year-old Henry Mert Porter Jr., is being treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville for his injuries.

Police say a third man at the scene is being questioned. No charges have been filed.
