BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say separate weekend shootings in Buffalo that left a teenage girl dead and two other teens and a 20-year-old man wounded may be related.

Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said Monday afternoon that Saturday night’s gunfire on LaSalle Avenue and Glendale Place were targeted shootings and not random attacks.

Officials say 15-year-old Shaunice Gamblin and 16-year-old Davone Wedlington were hit by gunfire around 8 p.m. on LaSalle Avenue. Gamblin later died at a hospital while Wedlington was treated and released.

Three hours later, 17-year-old Ashley Kern of Cheektowaga and 20-Year-old Marlon Clay of Buffalo were shot on Glendale Place. Kern is listed in serious condition while Clay is listed is as fair.

No arrests have been reported in either shooting.
