PITTSBURGH (AP) - A city councilman is trying to remove a minivan promoting a strip club from a downtown Pittsburgh parking lot.

Councilman Dan Gilman told WTAE-TV (https://bit.ly/1QUOTUw ) Monday that he believes the minivan violates the city’s billboard ordinance by using the parking spot to promote Club Controversy.

The vehicle depicts photos of barely-clothed women along with a website, phone number and address for the strip club.

The van sits in a corner spot of the lot - directly across from the City-County Building and the Allegheny County Courthouse.

Gilman says a billboard in that spot would be unlawful under city regulations. He says he’s approached the city’s legal department to see what options are available.

No one from the strip club has responded to the station’s questions about the van.
