TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in northwest Alabama say a body recovered from the Tennessee River may be one of two missing fishermen.

Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson told local media a body believed to be that of 24-year-old Jacob Sanders was found near the Colbert Steam Plant in Tuscumbia Tuesday morning.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s officials have said Sanders and his 29-year-old brother Jeremiah Sanders of Florence were reported missing after a fishing trip March 2.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling has said that search crews several days ago found the brothers’ small bass boat trapped under a bridge.
