BARRE, Vt. (AP) - The Barre City Fire Department is crediting the quick actions of a local daycare operator for ensuring that everyone was able to safely evacuate the building during a fire.

The fire at the registered daycare in the Vermont city was reported at about 9:20 Monday morning.

When firefighting crews arrived all occupants of the building had been evacuated.

Firefighters credited quick actions and fire drills in ensuring the owners and children all safely escaped the building.

There were no injuries.

Fire investigators determined the fire started in a bathroom fan.
