GRETNA, La. (AP) - A 44-year-old Kenner man has pleaded not guilty to charges that he ran an unlicensed dental practice in the backroom of a Kenner store.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1SPq65j) Cesar Cabrera-Delcid was charged with practicing medicine without a license, possession of Lidocaine without a prescription and possession of Benzocaine without a prescription.

Cabrera-Delcid appeared before Judge Scott Schlegel on Monday to enter his plea. Kenner police arrested him Dec. 9 when narcotics detectives served a search warrant at his business.

Cabrera-Delcid is scheduled to return to court March 24 for a pre-trial hearing.
