JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan House has voted to approve a bill that includes funding for four recreational trail projects in Jackson County.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot (https://bit.ly/1M3RdIC ) reported Monday that the four projects in Jackson County include work on the Lakelands Trail, the Sparks Park Inter-City Trail, the Horton Road Trail and the Fourth Street Connector development project.

Lakelands Trail development would include $300,000 of work on 13 miles, while the Fourth Street Connector would also get $300,000 to create a half-mile trail linking with the city of Jackson’s Inter-City Trail. Horton Road Trail developments would get $94,000 for building a half-mile trial connector.

The bill deals with nearly $28 million in funding in all, and is moving on to the state Senate for consideration.
