Disgraced Subway pitchman turned prisoner Jared Fogle was left bloody and beaten by another inmate during a recreation yard brawl earlier this year, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Fogle, 38, who is serving a 15-year sentence at the Englewood federal prison in Littleton, Colorado, after pleading guilty last year to charges related to child pornography and sex crimes, received a bloody nose, a swollen face and multiple scratches across his neck after the violent run-in Jan. 29, according to prison documents obtained by the gossip site.

The accused assailant, 60-year-old Steven Nigg, sustained a small cut to his left hand during the skirmish and was placed in solitary confinement as a result of his actions, TMZ reported.

Fogle is serving his time at Englewood because of its sex offender treatment program, The Denver Post reported.

According to TMZ, Nigg’s family said the inmate was upset about the number of convicted pedophiles housed at the low-security facility, “and Fogle was just the last straw.”

Nigg, who is serving time for weapons convictions, is set to be released in 2024. Fogle, who served as the public face for Subway from 2000 to  2015, is slated to stay behind bars through at least July 2029.

Fogle has been regularly taunted by other inmates since arriving at Englewood and was recently assaulted by another inmate who called him a “dirty child rapist,” the New York Post reported this month.

“The inmate slapped him across the cheeks several times and made his face red,” a former inmate who witnessed the incident told the Post. “Jared just stood there stunned, then ran out of the gym.”
