SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane County woman is facing criminal charges after authorities say she helped her adult daughter die of a drug overdose.

The Spokesman-Review reports (https://goo.gl/U4kreO ) that 54-year-old Carol Lambert was arrested Friday. She has been charged with promoting a suicide attempt and controlled substance homicide in the October death of her daughter, Sarah Malinak.

Court documents say Lambert and Malinak had both ingested a mixture of drugs before Malinak was found dead at a Spokane Valley hotel room.

Police say they had found a suicide note in the room signed by both the mother and daughter.

Lambert, who is a registered nurse, is accused of provided the drugs that Malinak overdosed on, including hydrocodone and morphine.
