RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - A small helicopter crashed at Riverside Municipal Airport but both people aboard escaped injury.

Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Staley says the incident occurred at midmorning Thursday and the people aboard were a student pilot and an instructor. Staley says there was no fire. An initial report of one injury was incorrect.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the aircraft was a Robinson R22.

The Riverside airport is 55 miles east of Los Angeles.
