AMES, Iowa (AP) - A sleeping Iowa State University student was injured when she rolled out of her bed and through a third story window.

Iowa State Police say a woman living in a university apartment complex called 911 around 3 a.m. Thursday after hearing someone calling for help outside the building.

The injured woman told police she had somehow fallen through a screened window from her lofted bed while she was sleeping. The bed was placed beside the window.

Police say the fall appears to be an accident

The woman was conscious when she was taken to an Ames hospital for her injuries.

Her name has not been released.
