CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A 50-mile section of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie has reopened after the Wyoming Department of Transportation closed it Thursday morning because of snow.

But conditions were expected to worsen with the National Weather Service predicting more snow for southeast Wyoming Thursday night and Friday.

A winter storm warning and winter weather advisory has been posted for southeast Wyoming.

The Weather Service says 5 to 10 inches of snow is possible in the area that includes the Laramie area with high amounts in the nearby mountains, including where I-80 passes through. Three to 6 inches is possible in Cheyenne and Rawlins.
