CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) - A Bradley County Jail inmate has died after collapsing in the booking station.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports (https://bit.ly/1R50Tl3) dispatch records show Herhal Dover, vomited and stopped breathing at 5:59 a.m. Bradley County Emergency Medical Service arrived five minutes later and performed CPR on the inmate. He was then transported to Tennova Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Dover had been in custody since March 16.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is probing the death at the request of the local district attorney. Bradley County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Ramsey says the investigation is standard procedure when an inmate dies.
