PORTALES, N.M. (AP) - The president of Eastern New Mexico University has announced plans to retire next year.

The Portales News-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/vUUtH0) that Steven Gamble confirmed this week he has given university faculty and board members “a heads up” that he will be retiring in the summer of 2017.
