LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A Lincoln man accused of running his car into a woman who’d been riding with him has been imprisoned.

Online court records say 39-year-old Rodney Badberg was sentenced Thursday to 18 to 48 months behind bars. On Dec. 28 Badberg pleaded no contest to attempted felony assault and to misdemeanor domestic assault after prosecutors lowered the charges. The judge credited Badberg with 176 days he’s already served.

Court records say witnesses saw the woman get out of a car around 10 p.m. July 19 and then saw the car turn around and hit the woman, knocking her to the roadway. The witnesses say the driver pulled the woman back into the car and drove away.
