CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) - A Chesterfield County business has been shut down after police say they uncovered an illegal gambling operation inside the store.

Chesterfield County police tell media outlets that Chippenham Bids was closed Monday after tips that a casino was operating in the county.

Lt. Jim Profita says the store’s owner, 24-year-old Liang Liu of Morehead City, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with operating an illegal gambling operation.

Profita says the store displayed merchandise for sale as a ruse, but also contained computer stations that customers could use to play casino-like games and win cash.

He says Monday appeared to be the store’s first full day of operation, although police were told it had been operating four days.

Liu’s being held without bond. It isn’t clear if he has an attorney.
