KIMBALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Officials say a power outage has curtailed operations at St. Clair County International Airport.

The Times Herald of Port Huron reports all operations were suspended about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, affecting outgoing and incoming flights. The newspaper reports (https://bwne.ws/1psdnKe ) power remained out on Friday morning but the airport will be open for flights during the day.

The shutdown came after power issues began Wednesday, when storms with high winds moved through the state.

The airport is located in Kimball Township, near Port Huron and about 50 miles northeast of Detroit. It plans to fully reopen once all systems are powered and verified operational.
