TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police are investigating a shooting in which a man was wounded.

The Police Department says officers found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to a leg but that information on the circumstances of the shooting or a suspect are not immediately available.

The wound was described as non-life threatening.

The incident occurred Friday morning in the vicinity of Rural Road and Apache Boulevard — near but not on the Arizona State University main campus.

ASU police said the shooting was an isolated incident and that it didn’t involve anyone affiliated with the university.
