GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman whose body was found in a trunk in the home of a parolee.

The Greeley Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/2fpbi7 ) two parole officers found 47-year-old Tonya Lei Webster’s body during a routine surprise home visit to 53-year-old David Wayne Batty on Wednesday. Police say the trunk was in a closet in his apartment. An autopsy will be conducted to determine how she died.

Batty was arrested on parole violations and is being held in jail.

The Colorado Department of Corrections confirmed that Batty is on parole but won’t release any details about his sentence and previous offenses.

Court records show Batty was convicted of assault in 2011 in Weld County. His lawyer in that case has not returned a call seeking comment.
