NEWPORT, Ore. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued four people from an overturned boat in Newport.

KIRO-TV reports (https://kiro.tv/1RrQXW5 ) that the 18-foot boat overturned Saturday morning near the entrance to Yaquina Bay.

The Coast Guard says the boaters were not wearing lifejackets.

A crew from the Yaquina Bay Coast Guard station responded, and took the boaters to back to the station.

They were treated for minor injuries and taken to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.
