ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say two teenage junior firefighters in Anderson have been charged with setting fires.

The State Law Enforcement Division charged a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old boy with third-degree arson.

SLED says the fires were set this year at empty homes and businesses and in woods. No injuries were reported.

Anderson Fire Department officials say the teens were part of the agency’s junior firefighter program and have been dismissed.
