LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say an elderly woman died after her husband accidentally hit her with his car at their Las Vegas home.

Authorities say it happened inside the garage of their home just before 10 a.m. Friday.

According to investigators, 87-year-old William Kreger was trying to back out his Chevrolet Equinox when the car went forward instead.

They say his 81-year-old wife was standing in the garage and ended up pinned between a wall and the vehicle.

Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Kreger was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police do not believe the incident was deliberate.

The woman’s name will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
