SEATTLE (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a Federal Way man to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to forgery, identity theft, wire fraud and firearms charges.

Chong Hwa Lim also must pay almost $50,000 in restitution.

Federal prosecutors say Lim was arrested in April 2015 after law enforcement searched his apartment and found identity-making equipment, counterfeit IDs, credit cards and immigration documents. They also found hundreds of new Social Security cards, a handgun and a shotgun.

Prosecutors say Lim had been deported in 1995 but used falsified documents to return to the U.S. and commit fraud. They say he submitted false tax returns and obtained almost $50,000 in refunds.

He also used a fake Korean passport to obtain a Washington state driver’s license under a false name.
