LAS VEGAS (AP) - A fire broke out on the roof of a new IKEA store in Las Vegas.

Fire officials say the fire was reported at the yet-to-open store around 12:15 p.m. Saturday. Clark County Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan says crews reported smoke and flames on the roof.

Firefighters got the blaze, which started in an air condition unit, out within 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported. Buchanan did not give an estimate of the damages.

IKEA spokesman Joseph Roth says in a statement that no store workers were in the building, and only minimal construction crews were at the site. He says the building remains safe and structurally sound and the facility is still set to open May 18.
