COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - After leading Lima Central Catholic to its third state championship, Tre Cobbs was named the most outstanding player on the Associated Press Division III all-tournament team.

The senior point guard scored 24 points and had six rebounds and four assists as the Thunderbirds beat Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph in the championship game Saturday. He had 20 points in the semifinals on Thursday.

Joining Cobbs on the Division III all-tournament team are LCC senior wing Dantez Walton (50 points, 22 rebounds in two games), VASJ sophomore guard Gene Higgins (31 points in two games), St. Bernard Roger Bacon junior guard Justin Johnson, who scored 16 points in a semifinal loss to LCC and Lynchburg-Clay senior guard Devin Pierson, who scored 28 points in a semifinal loss to Cleveland VASJ.
