TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa man has been arrested after trying to pass a loaded gun and drugs to an 11-year-old boy to hide the items during a traffic stop.

The Tulsa World reports (bit.ly/1MilXWk) the 40-year-old man was jailed on several complaints, including possessing drug paraphernalia, child endangerment and firearm possession. There was no information listed in jail records whether he had an attorney.

Police allege that after the man’s vehicle was stopped, he passed a stolen, loaded pistol to an 11-year-old family member who was in the car.

The officer arrested the man and found a small bag of crack cocaine on him. A second bag of crack was found on the 11-year-old.

The man later told police during an interview that he handed the items to the child.
