MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP) - Authorities say a fan of the Club National soccer team has been killed by supporters of the rival Penarol club in Montevideo.

The country’s Home Affairs Ministry says an 18-year-old man wearing a Nacional team shirt was bicycling with two other people in a suburb of the Uruguayan capital on Friday and came across several Penarol supporters.

The two groups started a fight that triggered a shooting. The 18-year-old died from a gunshot in the spot and another man was wounded. Police arrested 11 people and say they are looking for more suspects.

Nacional and Penarol are two of the major teams in the South American country
