CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police say one person is dead following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 24 in Clarksville.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Travis Plotzer told media that the car was traveling west in the eastbound lanes early Wednesday when it crashed into a commercial vehicle.

Police said a person inside the car died, but no names have been released.

Eastbound lanes were shut down for hours while police cleared the scene. Police continue to investigate the crash.
