MASHPEE, Mass. (AP) - Police have identified a 13-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a vehicle along a Mashpee street.

Mashpee Police Chief Scott Carline says Jeremiah Smith, of Mashpee, was struck at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis where he died.

Police say the driver, 55-year-old Constantinos Mitrokostas, of Mashpee, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Mitrokostas is the owner of Dino’s Pizza & Sports Bar in Mashpee.

No charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
