BERWYN, Pa. (AP) - Seven people are facing charges following a confrontation with police and a chase on a southeastern Pennsylvania interstate.

Police in Tredyffrin Township were investigating suspicious behavior involving two sport utility vehicles at a fast-food restaurant Tuesday when one SUV fled, striking a police cruiser twice and leading police on a chase east on Interstate 76. The car hit a state police cruiser and four occupants were arrested. Three people in the other SUV were also arrested.

Police said they found ID cards and stolen checks belonging to identity theft victims and believe the thefts are linked to a group called the “Felony Lane Gang.” The suspects face charges including aggravated assault of a police officer, fleeing or eluding police, receiving stolen property, and ID theft.
