MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) - An Idaho man has been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for shooting a Mountain Home Air Force Base airman at a laundry in southern Idaho.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/1TRXecs ) that Lajuan C. Lee was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony. He will be eligible for parole in 10 years.

The injured airman survived, but has since been discharged from the military due to medical issues stemming from the November 2014 shooting.

Prosecutors say Lee shot the victim because he found out his girlfriend was the airman’s estranged wife.
