DENVER (AP) - A man charged in the shooting death of another man at a motel in Lakewood has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/DdstQc ) Scott Michael Lynn was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder in the June 2014 death of Randy Bender at Crossland Economy Studios. Jefferson County prosecutors say the sentence was handed down immediately after Lynn was convicted.

Lynn was found guilty after a trial that lasted about a week.
