HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - An East Hartford man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a 2013 crash that killed two brothers.

The Hartford Courant reports (https://cour.at/1pnlAzA ) 21-year-old Eric Watson entered the plea Tuesday to two counts of second-degree manslaughter and other charges. His trial was scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Watson was driving between 50 and 70 mph when the crash happened in July 2013. Eighteen-year-old Robert Swain of East Hartford and 16-year-old La’Andrew Evans-Swain of Manchester were killed.

Police said a third person in the car, 20-year-old Henry Le, suffered internal injuries in the crash.

Watson is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended after four years, under the plea agreement. His sentencing is scheduled for April 29.
