ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - The editor of The Morning Call has been named the newspaper’s publisher and editor-in-chief as part of a major reorganization across all nine publications of Tribune Publishing.

David Erdman has spent his entire 35-year journalism career at the northeastern Pennsylvania newspaper.

He started as a reporter in 1981, later becoming city editor and metro editor before being named managing editor in 2000. In 2009 he was named vice president and editor.

Erdman succeeds Rick Daniels as publisher.

The editors of all other Tribune publications will also now serve as publishers.
