NEW YORK (AP) - The National Weather Service is warning that high winds could create hazardous conditions in New York City on Wednesday morning.

The agency says intermittent wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are forecast between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.

It cautions New Yorkers to be careful walking or driving.

It says winds at those speeds can cause flying debris and cause power outages.
