PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona man’s photo of a couple embracing after the woman nearly fell off a Phoenix mountain top is capturing the attention of social media.

Marco Malimban, of Queen Creek, said Wednesday that he posted his photo of two hikers with their arms locked around each other on Facebook with the hope of finding them.

Malimban was with a group at the top of Camelback Mountain Feb. 27 when they heard a scream and saw the woman already falling headlong.

Malimban says that’s when the man she was with grabbed her by the ankle.

He says the man pulled her up from the edge and they hugged seconds after that.

Malimban says he felt compelled to take a photo because the incident could have easily been a tragedy.
