MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot police say they’ve arrested a 26-year-old Minot man on charges of fatally stabbing his brother.

The Minot Police Department says it responded to a report of a stabbing around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday and found 28-year-old Ignacio Contreras-Castillo dead from a stab wound. A 19-year-old man who was stabbed in the hand was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police say they took Adolfo Contreras-Castillo in custody for questioning and later arrested him on charges of murder, aggravated assault and terrorizing. He made an initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon, though court records have his last name listed as Castillo-Contreras.

Attorney information was not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
