WASHINGTON (AP) - Police in Washington are warning motorists of street closings this weekend for the taping of the Black Entertainment Television Honors at the Warner Theatre.

The Metropolitan Police Department says some street closures will be in place Friday evening and last through Sunday at 6 a.m. Police said in a statement that starting at 7 p.m. Friday, E Street NW between 12th Street and 13th Street will be closed.

From noon Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday, there will be additional closures: Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 14th Street and 11th Street, 13th Street NW between F Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street NW between F Street and Constitution Avenue.

Two of the people being honored at the event are singer Patti LaBelle and former Attorney General Eric Holder.
