NAPLES, Maine (AP) - Authorities say a man who is free on bail and accused of killing a U.S. Air Force sergeant in Louisiana is currently living in Maine.

Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce says 21-year-old Benjamin Shaw was arrested in Bossier City, Louisiana in January on a second-degree murder charge in the killing of 34-year-old Zechariah Casagranda.

Joyce says Shaw posted $500,000 bail and was released two days later.

Joyce says Shaw was released on bail and is living with his parents in Naples. He says Louisiana officials notified them that Shaw was in their jurisdiction and asked his department to routinely check on Shaw.

Shaw must report to the sheriff’s office weekly. He cannot leave the county.

Shaw’s family has hired attorney Jose Baez, who previously represented Casey Anthony.
