SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The latest jobless numbers show Utah’s unemployment rate is at 3.4 percent.

The state Department of Workforce Service said Wednesday that the most recent rate from January was unchanged from December.

December’s jobless rate was originally reported at 3.5 percent but state officials later revised that, dropping it by one-tenth of a percent.

Utah’s unemployment rate has remained well below the national rate for about five years.

The unemployment rate around the country was 4.9 percent in January.
