WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - A suspect has been arrested and charged in what police say was a road-rage incident in which a Warwick motorist was struck by another car.

Police say 20-year-old Justin Franca, of Warwick, will be arraigned Wednesday for assault with a dangerous weapon and related charges.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1Rovyap) police responded around 10 p.m. Tuesday to West Shore Road for a report of a woman lying in the street.

Police say the woman had stepped out of her car when Franca hit her with his vehicle before driving off.

The 39-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police haven’t released her identity.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Franca.
