ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say two people were stabbed and a man was charged after a dispute outside an Asbury Park home turned violent.

Eric Weston faces two weapons counts and an aggravated assault charge. Bail was set at $15,000 for the 43-year-old city man, and it wasn’t known Sunday if he has retained an attorney.

The stabbings at the Atkins Avenue home were reported around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

City police say Weston and another person were arguing when Weston allegedly stabbed the person with a “sharp object.” Another person was stabbed when they tried to intervene in the attack.

One victim was treated at the scene, while the other was treated at a hospital and later released. Authorities say their wounds are not considered life-threatening.
