HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say a 28-year-old man was shot in the back around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Martin Street.

He’s in stable condition at Saint Francis Hospital. Police haven’t released his identity.

No further details were immediately available.

It’s the second shooting of the weekend in that neighborhood.

Two men were fatally shot early Saturday morning in a parked car on Martin Street.

Police found 28-year-old Jeffery Vail and 33-year-old William Ward, both of Hartford, suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were pronounced dead at the hospital.

That shooting remains under investigation.
