EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A 27-year-old man police say fired rounds from a 12-gauge shotgun in the parking lot of a lumber mill has been arrested and there are no injuries.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to Jasper Mill just before 10 p.m. on Saturday following a call from an employee reporting an armed male firing in the parking lot.

Authorities say Oregon State Police and the Eugene Police Department also responded and that Mathew Scott Gray fired additional rounds in an unknown direction.

Police say Gray tried to drive away but was confronted by officers and complied with commands and was taken into custody.

Gray faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, criminal trespass with a firearm, reckless endangering and disorderly conduct.
